When I draw, I often start with the exact same mark. It is the same first 4 lines I strike no matter what I draw. The rest unfiolds through a conversation between what I want to bring to life and what wants to come to lif- birthing from those marks in that particular moment in time. The piece is a reflection of this co-colaboration. While these drawing are small, I think of them in a large scale, approaproate for a mural. I think I am often sketching what I sense floating in space and want to see populate public arenas.
